About Neesa and AJ was created to highlight the story of Nissa (pronounced 'Neesa') and her daughter Adrianne Janiece (AJ), and the things they love.
Nissa is a single mother of an adult daughter with an intellectual (dis)ability who also has Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). SLE is an auto-immune disease, more commonly known as Lupus. Though it can attack any part of your body and is currently incurable, it can be managed by faith, doctor visits, blood draws, and medication.
AJ has a beautiful smile and an even bigger heart, loves to craft necklaces and bracelets, and create artwork in her own way; she wants to one day share her masterpieces with the world. She has an emotional support animal named Sushi, a pitbull terrier mix we adopted in 2020. She is just as sweet and loving as her human Mom, and brings much joy to the household.
Nissa loves anything that smells good-perfumes, soaps, lotions, air fresheners, you name it. And beautiful decor, hmm!
